Women Of God

I took this off of my friend Malisa's blog. Not many things "touch" me when it comes to talking about Women of God. As a matter of fact. I have a hard time not rolling my eyes when we are told how important it is to be a wife and a mother, and how the most important place for us is in the home. Sometimes I have a really hard time swallowing that. I feel very insignificant a lot of the time. It is hard for me to believe that I am truly contributing in the world with my current 'job'. Anyway, this actually made me go...hmmm.

WOMEN OF GOD CAN NEVER BE LIKE WOMEN OF THE WORLD. THE WORLD HAS ENOUGH WOMEN WHO ARE TOUGH; WE NEED WOMEN WHO ARE TENDER. THERE ARE ENOUGH WOMEN WHO ARE COARSE; WE NEED WOMEN WHO ARE KIND. THERE ARE ENOUGH WOMEN WHO ARE RUDE; WE NEED WOMEN WHO ARE REFINED. WE HAVE ENOUGH WOMEN OF FAME AND FORTUNE; WE NEED MORE WOMEN OF FAITH. WE HAVE ENOUGH GREED; WE NEED MORE GOODNESS. WE HAVE ENOUGH VANITY; WE NEED MORE VIRTUE. WE HAVE ENOUGH POPULARITY; WE NEED MORE PURITY."
