So, I've been playing around with all of the things that you can add to a blog. I'm pretty impressed. But at the same time, it's like playing on Face Book. There are so many things that can make you who you are, and things you can add to make you blog just like you. Kind of interesting. Right now, I'm not too concerned about what is on there. After all, I'm not too sure that I will ever invite anyone to look at this blog. So, right now, it is strictly for my random musings. The only thing I'd really like to find is some different backgrounds. At some point maybe I'll look into that. Right now, the blog is very plain, but so am I so that seems to match.
I did get a picture put at the top of my boys. However, it is off center and I'm not sure how to center it. But again, I don't really care.
RANDOM MUSINGS
Steve and I have been called to head the committee that will be over our Pioneer Trek Youth Conference this year, for our Stake. It has been a HUGE project so far, and it is causing me a great deal of stress. This past week, we have had two meetings that have introduced the leaders and the youth to our "getting ready" program called the 'Trail of Faith'. It has been a lot of work to put together and get ready to present to all of the wards, but so worth it. I'm not sure what all of the leaders thought of it last week. I think they were a bit overwhelmed with figuring out how to help the youth accomplish all of their goals by July. But last night at the youth fireside. I think there was a bit more enthusiasm toward it. I wasn't very excited about this calling. Well to be honest I was very unenthusiastic about it at first. They released me from a calling that I loved, stake camp dir., to make me do this one. My trek experience from youth wasn't a great one. It was one of the old ones that BYU used to do, that they took you out, made you walk until they broke you, and barely fed you any food for a week. Trying to give you a true pioneer experience. Well, I guess lucky for the kids in our stake, that I was put over this trek. Because of my experiences, trek will not be about having a pioneer experience. It will be about figuring out the challenges that the youth of today face, and how to tackle them, like the pioneers tackled their challenges. Hopefully, it will be a good experience for everyone involved, including me.

My experience on Pioneer Trek as a teen changed the course of my life. I know it is so very much work but you really have no idea just of the incredible impact it can have. If those who put it together in my home Stake had known what it would do/change just for me alone, I'm pretty sure they'd feel it was all worth it.
You'll do an awesome job with Trek. I'm excited for the youth in our ward to experience it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm hoping that it will be worth it to the kids. In some cases it has been a huge headache for me, but I know in the end, if the kids get the same kind of experience that you did, it will all be worth it.
First of all, OF COURSE I want to know about YOUR blog. How exciting!
I didn't know that you were over trek. I've known about the meetings (since some of them conflict with basketball) and I was just shown the 'trail of faith' pamphlet. It looks awesome (and the leader that showed me seemed very excited and already had February passed off). I think you will do a great job!
