The other day on facebook, I got an email that was a "tag you're it" kind of thing. The friend that sent it, told 16 random things about themselves. Then in turn, I had to list 16 random things about me. It was actually harder than I thought to come up with 16 things to tell about myself. But you know...every time I have to sit down and come up with something on the spot, I always tend to freeze. I can't ever recall anything on the spot. Not even my name.
But since this list was sent to me I've had a chance to think about it some more...and I want to revise it.
16. I love String Cheese. Always have...My kids love it too, but they don't completely appreciate the appropriate way to eat it. They just bite from end to end, small round chunks off of the log that is the cheese. They don't understand that it is called "String" Cheese. It is to be eaten in long small strings. I peel and peel until it is the smallest possible thread. YUM!
15. I am seriously afraid of the sun. Not much in life scares me. But the sun terrifies me. Even wearing sunscreen, when I'm out in it, I feel it burning my skin. It is the most uncomfortable feeling ever.
14. Because of number 15, I don't mind the winter. I don't mind staying inside because it's cold. If it is nice weather outside, I feel an obligation to the beauty to spend time outside. So the fact that the sun hides sometimes for days, actually delights me.
13. I love a clean house... But I hate clean it.
12. I desperately want to loose weight, but somehow, I can't get my mind behind it right now. No matter what I do, by the end of the day, I can't pass up the temptations. So, I blow the entire day. Doesn't make sense, I know. I've lost weight before and had no problem with will power, but right now, I just don't have it.
11. I'm grateful for my family. They are the light of my life. My boys are little monsters most of the time, but they make me laugh more than anyone or anything else. My husband also, is more than I could ever hope for. He is so kind, and always so concerned with me. I appreciate him so much.
10. It stresses me out more than I even understand, when I see someone making wrong choices. To see people make choices that are going to jeopardize their happiness. When I can see that the choice they are making will lead to unhappiness...it gives me an ulcer.
9. I don't watch much television. There isn't a show on that I "cannot live without".
8. I am hopelessly addicted to sugar. I love it...every part of it. I cannot pass up a cookie, brownie, candy bar. Which is probably why I have such a hard time loosing weight.
7. I hate black licorice.
6. I don't use the word hate much. So when I say it, I mean it!
5. There was a time that I desperately wanted a daughter. But not so much now. I really don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I'm sure that I am... But, I am so grateful for what I have, I can't even feel bad for what I don't have.
4. I love to read. (strange statement coming from me for anyone who has known me for more than the past 2 years.) I never read before 2 years ago. If I did, it was required reading, or Church books that made me feel like there was always something more I should be doing. That what I was doing, wasn't enough. Then something happened 2 years ago. I felt an itch; a nervous twitch. I needed to read something fun. But it had been so long since I had read a novel I didn't know where to start. I ended up finding a cheesy little romance novel, and I haven't stopped. I've read well over 100 books in the past 2 years. I'm guessing closer to 200. But since I haven't specifically track them, I'm not sure.
3. I love to see the snow peaked mountains against a pure blue sky. Right after a fresh snow storm, the sky is a color of blue, that you rarely see. Unclouded by pollution, and pure. It's beautiful to see it against the white on the mountains.
2. My favorite quote is "In a world where you can be anything, Be yourself."
1. I love long hot bubble baths, with a good book.

I relate to many of your items. You'll end up with a whole herd of girls eventually- you just won't have to deal with teen girl drama as a mama so it's sort of a bonus!
See, thats what I count on! The boys have all promised me that they will have lots of girls for me. Plus I look forward to the Daughter-in-laws. But, I do look at the biggest bonus is that I don't ever have to take kids to the bathroom on vacation. Steve gets the pleasure of that duty! Ha, Ha. He got himself into that one with all those Y chromosomes.
Um..I love string cheese also, I love a clean house (but not cleaning), I hate black licorice, and I've only really read books since I've had kids.
Have you heard of Goodreads? It's a good way to track and rate the books you read.
Malisa, I have heard of good reads, but at this point, I've been tracking my books on facebook. There are a couple of bookshelves there that Ive been using. I may put one on here too. Maybe?
