As funny as it is. This picture pretty much sums up the day. Tyler was exhausted and just fell asleep in the middle of the store.Today was the grand opening of my parents new candy store at Jordan Landing. They along with Mrs. Cummings and a friend have gone together to take on the adventure of opening another location of Cummings Studio Chocolates.
My Mom has worked at the original store since I was a little girl, and my Grandmother before her. Me and my siblings, and now our children have also worked at the store over the years. It has almost become a family business for us, though I had no idea that it would ever come to this.
Today was their grand opening, and it seemed to be a huge success. They had a big ribbon cutting ceremony this morning, with the Mayor of West Jordan, and many other city officials. The surrounding companies have been incredibly supportive and very kind. So many of our friends came out today to support them, and I am so grateful. So here's to the future of the Candy Store. And my future for a while, as I will be working there part time to help them get it off the ground.

Those chocolates are divine! I'm so glad the store isn't closer to my house. I'm getting fatter just thinking about the yummy chocolates we bought there the other day. Seriously, the chocolate itself is the best I've ever tasted.
