So seriously...what happened to spring. This past week, my boys have been out of school for their spring break, and it has been miserable. It has rained and snowed and generally been way too cold for them to even play outside.
A few weeks ago (maybe not even that long ago) we were basking in the 60-70 degree weather. Now...snow!!!!
I have felt so bad for these little boys. They would try to go out to play basketball or ride their bikes, only to return inside a few minutes later with read cheeks and runny noses. "It's just too cold".
I have tried to be the ultimate 'cool' mom this week. I have let them play video games and watch television with almost no restrictions, because there is nothing else for them to do.
I know most of us see winter as one of those seasons that will never end. That is one disadvantage of living in Utah. The calendar says winter starts Dec 15th. But in Utah, it generally starts to snow sometime in September, and gets heavier toward the end of October. Then though the calendar says March15th begins spring, the snow usually lasts until April. 7 months of snow is toooooo much!! Especially when we were teased a few weeks ago with sun and warm weather. The flowers all started to grow, then BOOM, they were frozen where they stood.
It is time....we have all endured it long enough, it is time for spring to show its beautiful face, and give us some enjoyment before the summer takes over, because we all know that it will, all too soon.

I agree! That is why we got out of here to where the sun does shine. St. George was nice and even Amanda suggested going back to the hotel when we came home and it was cold and snowy! Maybe after conference is over and the angels stop wheeping spring will come!
That's funny that Amanda wanted to go back! If I had thought it through, we probably would have gone to St. George this week too. But I didn't really plan well.
Hopefully this weather will get warm soon....if not we may go away next weekend.
Sing it sister! I am so tired of the wet and the cold. Can't we get a little sunshine and warmth in between the snow storms? It doesn't sound like the weather this week will be much better- if it's even better at all!
